This past summer has been one of our most memorable summers. Growing up I used to spend my summers on the lake which always included our annual trip to Lake Powell with our extended family. It had been seven years since we had been back, so, for the Lee family reunion this year we planned and spent a week in Powell. It was so much fun! I loved watching my kids enjoy the same recreational activities I loved as a child. The best part about the trip was spending more time with our extended family.
After the kids had a successful day of wake boarding. I decided to try skiing. It had been years since I had slalom skied (who does that anymore? obviously I grew up in the 80's early 90's.... :)) It was a struggle to pull myself up out of the water. Once I was up, I began feeling pretty confident about my skills and attempted going in and out of the wake as if I were "17 again". Quickly, I lost complete control....I was going down and it wasn't going to be pretty. All I remember is floating on my back as the boat was coming back around and seeing my little brother with the Biggest grin on his face(once a little brother, always a little brother) :)!!We began laughing hysterically! I wish I had a picture. My 33 year-old body hurt for days. It sure made for great entertainment and memories!

It was a classic ski crash! How am I not supposed to laugh! I can still see your body flopping forward and your back leg flying high in the air...hilarious! Just glad you didn't pull a hammy!
