Halloween Fun

Kamae and Teacher Ashley at their pre-school Halloween party. Mae Mae loves her pre-school and has such a wonderful teacher she adores. Ashley is so sweet with the kids we just love her!

Carving pumpkins at the Madsen's home. The kids all had a great time. Since there was no school the next day they all got to run around together until 11:00. Lots of fun memories.

The Dance Studio

One of my favorite things to do each week is take Mae Mae to her dance class. She LOVES it and LOVES teacher Season! It is a lot of fun to watch those adorable little four-year-olds. The best part is when they get to do their "Sassy Walk" across the floor--ADORABLE!
Tuesday was especially fun since they got to wear their Halloween costume to dance and put on a parade for the parents.
Oh how much I am enjoying my baby and her little age. I think I will freeze her right where she is!

Jennifer Anderson Photography

While I was in Utah this last July I met up with a best friend from High school, Jen Anderson. It was so wonderful to see her again! Not only is she a fantastic friend but a VERY talented and gifted photographer. Jen lives in Virginia so I totally planned my Utah trip around the time she would be there so I could have her take some pics of my kids. We had such a great time catching up. I LOVE Jen's work, and am so thrilled with how our pictures turned out! These are only a few samples from our session. Check her out at photographybyjennifer.net

Lake Powell

This past summer has been one of our most memorable summers. Growing up I used to spend my summers on the lake which always included our annual trip to Lake Powell with our extended family. It had been seven years since we had been back, so, for the Lee family reunion this year we planned and spent a week in Powell. It was so much fun! I loved watching my kids enjoy the same recreational activities I loved as a child. The best part about the trip was spending more time with our extended family.
After the kids had a successful day of wake boarding. I decided to try skiing. It had been years since I had slalom skied (who does that anymore? obviously I grew up in the 80's early 90's.... :)) It was a struggle to pull myself up out of the water. Once I was up, I began feeling pretty confident about my skills and attempted going in and out of the wake as if I were "17 again". Quickly, I lost complete control....I was going down and it wasn't going to be pretty. All I remember is floating on my back as the boat was coming back around and seeing my little brother with the Biggest grin on his face(once a little brother, always a little brother) :)!!We began laughing hysterically! I wish I had a picture. My 33 year-old body hurt for days. It sure made for great entertainment and memories!

Aspen Grove Family Camp

For the Lawrence family reunion this year we went up to Aspen Grove Family Camp in the Provo canyon just above Sundance. What a beautiful Place. The kids had a great time. The entire week is centered around activities for the different age groups. So lots to do! It is run by BYU and BYU students are up there as the counselors. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!
