Dance Recital,New Puppy,Triathalon and Baseball Season......

Taia and Kamae had their dance recital last week. Girls camp began the day of the recital so Taia wasn't able to be there. They both did a great job all year. Taia's dance was to "Party in The USA"-she had so much fun and is great little dancer! I'll have to post some pics from her rehearsals.
Here are some cute pictures from the recital. Kamae was so cute and animated- It was hysterical to watch! She is a little drama queen. When the recital was over she said "I love being on stage mom, can I do it again"?

Our new puppy!!!! Such a Sweetie!

A couple of weeks ago I did a triathalon with a couple of my friends. It was a lot of fun and incredibly hard-especially the swim! We took our daughters with us and had a fun girls day out. I posted their picture because they looked MUCH better then we did at this point! :)

One of my favorite things is baseball season and watching my boys play. We had a great season with some great teams and coaches. Mckay's coach was the Buchanan pitching coach so the boys got to go out on the field with the Buchanan baseball team at one of their games-Mckay loved that! A very cool experience for him.

Last Week Of School....!

Summer is finally here-HURRAY! I Love having my little one's home with me without the rigid schedule of the school year and NO HOMEWORK!!!! We can stay in our pajamas all day if we want! The last week of school was very eventful. Here are quite a few pictures of all our exciting activities, and still more to come......enjoy!
Taia and her wonderful teacher Mrs. Twet. We had one great year with this cool lady! Last fall I went with Taia on their 6th grade field trip to Sonora, I loved having that time with Taia and  getting to know Mrs. Twet better-we had a great time-thanks for a great 6th grade year!!
On the last day of school I took Taia and her friends out to get manicures and to dinner at CPK. These girls were adorable. We had a great time with lots of laughs!

I feel so fortunate this year to have had what I think are the best teachers at Garfield for my kids this year. Mrs. Hoffman was also an Amazing teacher! She makes learning a lot of fun for the kids-McKay absolutely loved her! Susan has also been my daughters cheer coach so I've gotten to know her really well over the years.
The "BEAR" award is quite an accomplishment and recognizes only the kids who excel in their AR reading levels for the year-congratulations McKay!

Crew also had a fabulous teacher-Mrs. Janes. She is wonderful! We have had her in the past with the other kids and was thrilled when Crew got her as his teacher too!  At the end of the year assembly Crew earned three very big awards. The Blue Ribbon Cub was given for all around academics and personal character and integrity. This is an honor to be given this award-way to go Crew!

                        "Presidential" for Physical Fitness
The "BEAR" award for reading-congratulations Crew!
Kamae and Miss Ashley at Pre-school graduation! We have been SO lucky to have Ashley for Kamae's teacher the last two years- She has been Wonderful! Ashley was so sweet and loving to these little girls Kamae just Adores her! For our graduation gift Ashley scrap booked the past two years for each of us moms to have. That was a lot of work and I am so grateful to her for such a priceless gift.

"SURVIVOR" Even though Bria's Birthday isn't until the end of July, she and her friends decided they wanted to throw a birthday party early this year and have it a "Survivor" theme.
They came up with all the ideas of what they wanted to do-It turned out to be a Blast!! The highlight of the evening was when I pulled out the container of crickets I picked up at Petsmart earlier that day for them to eat(with chocolate of course)-Yum!! :) I was impressed by how many of the kids actually ate the crickets still alive!
Thanks to Brie's mom for the AWESOME banner she made for the party-she is a very talented lady!!
                             Yum......
                 Way to go Clark!

Taia had a choir concert earlier that week. She has been in choir the last two years at Garfield and has loved it! The theme that evening was "Broadway"with songs from "Wicked", "Grease","Annie", and "The Sound of Music".  Good Job TaiTai!

Kamae just finished up her swim lessons at Jan Thomas Swim School with teacher Tori. Now MaeMae is a champion swimmer and I can't keep her out of the water!

Memorial Day Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!

Last week my parents came into town to visit from Utah, it was so wonderful to have them here to be apart of our lives for a week! My kids loved having them here! I think they asked me everyday leading up to the trip when grandma and grandpa were coming. We packed the week with all sorts of fun activities, the time flew by. It was so hard to see them go!
The boys had baseball games we took them to that they thoroughly enjoyed. McKay pitches so he was thrilled to show grandpa his stuff! The biggest highlight of the trip for my boys and grandpa was playing catch and practicing pitching in the backyard. The minute they got home from school they were in the back playing ball. McKay talks about that everyday- a very sweet memory for him and I know for grandpa too! I love my parents dearly and treasure these sweet memories.
                          Grandpa and Mac-A-Doodle!

Way to go McKay!!  Go Phillies!!

For Memorial Day we took the boat out to the lake. My parents created such wonderful memories for me as a child boating every summer with our cousins in Lake Powell since I was 3 years old. I wanted so badly for my kids to grow up boating and having that family time together. The boat has been a wonderful investment. Not only is it great family time, but we have had many opportunities to use our boat for various church functions and many YSA parties. It's a quick family vacation close to home without cell phones or any other interruptions-hurray!
